About Riscover

Built by people who spent two decades inside India's payments engine.

Riscover wasn't founded to enter the insurance industry. It was founded because two people who spent their careers building payment ecosystems kept seeing the same gap — and eventually decided to close it themselves.

The insight came from years inside banks, card programmes, lending platforms, and merchant networks — watching customers absorb losses that protection products could have covered, and watching platforms leave revenue unclaimed because the distribution architecture was never designed to carry insurance at the transaction moment.

The origin of Riscover

The pattern appeared everywhere. An OTA selling millions of travel bookings with insurance buried in a confirmation email nobody read. An NBFC disbursing thousands of personal loans without offering credit shield at disbursement — the only moment the customer was paying attention. A logistics platform absorbing 3–5% of revenue in cargo losses because transit cover was a separate conversation nobody got around to having.

The products existed. The insurers were willing. The transaction moment — when risk was highest and attention was most engaged — was simply going to waste. Not from incompetence, but because the infrastructure to carry insurance natively inside a transaction flow didn't exist yet. Riscover was built to be that infrastructure.

The founders

Two practitioners. Fifty years of combined experience. One shared conviction — that insurance should be a native feature of every transaction, not an afterthought sold separately.

Jasmeet Arora

Co-Founder

With 25 years of experience, Jasmeet is a specialist in the mechanics of financial distribution — building scalable, embedded finance ecosystems across some of India's most consequential platforms. At American Express he led corporate card acquisition across India. At Pine Labs he developed point-of-sale value models for acquired merchant clients, weaving credit, loyalty, and promotional offers into the core purchase journey to unlock revenue that traditional distribution never reached. At Paytm he drove native EMI growth across online and offline platforms — seeing first-hand what genuine product embedment produces in attach rates, conversion, and long-term customer trust.

As Chief Growth Officer at Indifi, he unlocked new revenue streams by embedding insurance and monetisation tools directly into lending processes. At Riscover, Jasmeet brings that quarter-century of expertise to bear for partners looking to transform their insurance distribution. His approach is consultative and grounded in commercial reality — focused on customer LTV, P&L drivers, and the kind of incremental revenue that builds lasting loyalty without adding complexity to the platform.

Gagan Kochar

Gagan Kochar

Co-Founder

Gagan spent 25 years building B2B payments infrastructure — at Visa, across two decades at American Express, and as co-founder of PayEnable. At Visa he deepened commercial card penetration with member banks and engaged government bodies on payment infrastructure. At American Express he ran the B2B Payments business for India and, as Head of Alliances for Global Commercial Card, built programmes across diverse markets, partners, and regulatory contexts.

PayEnable was where that instinct became a product — embedding finance directly into client customer journeys, an experience that maps precisely onto what Riscover does with insurance. The lesson: the technology is rarely the hard part. The hard part is understanding the partner's commercial model, fitting the product to the journey without friction, and making the economics work for everyone in the chain. At Riscover, Gagan is the architect — thinking in systems and leading conversations where the partner's questions run deeper than a pitch deck.

Manish brings 30+ years of hands-on experience at the intersection of retail, travel, and financial services — built at Andersen, Jet Airways, American Express, and DMart. He understands how large-format platforms acquire, retain, and transact with customers at scale. At Riscover, he translates that operating depth into embedded insurance strategies that fit the way platforms actually work.

Arcstone Growth LLP

Riscover is a growth venture of Arcstone — a specialised venture builder focused on differentiated businesses at the intersection of financial services, technology, and distribution. In embedded insurance, the inefficiency is clear: protection products exist, customers need them, and the distribution moment is available — but nobody had designed the architecture to connect all three. That is what Riscover was built to do.
